Festivals The heart of India , Madhya Pradesh emanates vibrance from its every nook and corner. The state emulates the festive fervour that runs through the veins of India . Madhya Pradesh is the heart of India . It doesn't matter whether you are an art admirer, food fanatic, dancing dazzler or a jewellery junkie, this place is your dream pilgrim. INDIAN TRIBAL CULTURE – FESTIVALS Festivals and celebrations are characteristic to all parts of the world. A variety of festivals are celebrated across India, owing to the various religions, cultures and traditions unique to each tiny sector of India. Complimenting the numerous festivals in India, there are a great many tribal festivals celebrated by the tribes of India. The Kailpoldu festival is one such tribal festival celebrated by the warrior tribes, Kodavas in Coorg, Karnataka. This festival is held to worship the weapons possessed by the people and is usually held between the 2 nd and 4 th of September. The festival serves as a clarion call for the Kodavas to bring out their weapons and to prepare for guarding their crop from wild boars and other animals. This is true even for the various tribal populations present in the country. Many Indians belonging to these populations adhere to traditional Indian  tribal religions , often syncretised with one or more of the  major religious traditions  of  Hinduism ,  Buddhism ,  Islam  or  Christianity . On this festival farmers cut bamboo forests to make place for seasonal farming. The drying of heaps and the festival to celebrate the coming of spring formulates the true meaning of Chapchar Kut.
